Dr. Ken Giami

Ken Giami is a visionary African businessman, entrepreneur, and media owner. A leading voice and advocate for Africa’s economic appeal globally, Ken Giami is the Founder and Publisher of the highly rated African Leadership magazine; as well as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ALG Strategy Group – a multi-sector, Africa focused investment and consultancy firm, currently headquartered in Abuja Nigeria but with operations in 4 African countries. The Group currently has business interests in Publishing & Marketing communications, Energy, Real Estate, Hospitality, Investment Advisory and Development consulting.
Giami graduated from the Imo State University, Owerri Nigeria with a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Public Administration, and obtained a Master’s degree from the Business School of York St John University, York United Kingdom in 2014.
As a trade facilitator and speaker at several Africa-focused business meetings and conferences, Ken Giami has been featured in the Washington post, Atlanta Business Chronicle and other international publications for bridging trade gaps between Africa and the rest of the world.
Ken Giami also serves as Chairman of the Board of trustees of Centre for Economic & Leadership Development, an NGO currently in special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). He also serves as Chairman, Nigeria Indonesia Commercial Association (NICA) - the sole bilateral trade association for Indonesia in Nigeria, and sits on the board of several organizations and corporates.
HONOURS & RECOGNITIONS
- March 2013 - Dr. Ken Giami and the African Leadership magazine were commended for their roles in promoting trade relations between Africa and the State of Georgia in the United States by the Senate of the State of Georgia, via Senate Resolution 563, sponsored by Senator Donzella James (http://www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/en-US/display/20132014/SR/563).
- April 2013 – Conferment with the Honorary citizenship of the State of Georgia in a communication by Georgia Secretary of State, Brian P. Kemp.
